Some of you may have already been contacted regarding our Warblington Ready Programme but we are inviting all Year 6 students coming to Warblington School in September to take part if they wish. Supported and helped by our Nurture and Student Hub department, the Warblington Ready Programme offers an extra opportunity for students to gain support with the transition from primary/junior school into the secondary environment.

The Warblington Ready Programme is split into four 1 hour sessions being delivered on a twice weekly basis. The sessions will consist of a 20-30 minute video then 30 minutes student independent task completion. Sessions will have the following focus points:
• Myself and starting secondary school
• Secondary school and friendship groups
• Knowing your secondary school and being organised
• Who can help me at secondary school and reflection on the WRP

This year’s sessions will take place on the following dates on both the Warblington School Transition page on our website and via the Warblington School Facebook page. However, you will still be able to access the videos after these dates.
• Wednesday 24th June 2020
• Thursday 25th June 2020
• Wednesday 1st July 2020
• Thursday 2nd July 2020

Sessions will start at 2:00pm, you will be able to view the session video and then ask any questions in the comments section underneath on Facebook which will be answered between 2:00pm and 3:00pm on the same day. If you are unable to watch at the allocated time, you can watch later and send any questions to [email protected].

To take part you will need to download the Warblington Ready Programme Work Pack to be able to complete the tasks associated with each session

We would encourage photos of the work completed during the sessions to be emailed to [email protected] along with any further questions or queries.
