The School Day

30.25 hours per week

Bicycles
Students are encouraged to cycle to and from School. Bicycles must be left locked in the cycle shed area and students must lock up their own bike as well. We recommend a strong D shaped lock.

Bicycles are brought to school ‘at your own risk’, even if left in the locked area, the school does not accept responsibility if parts or all of the bicycle is stolen or vandalised.

Year 11 Motor Cycles
Year 11 students are allowed to ride motor cycles to school once they have reached the age of 16. They need to show their licence to a member of the Leadership Team who will issue a pass entitling them to bring their motor cycle onto school premises. Motor cycles are brought to School ‘at your own risk’.

Vehicles

For students who live further away or have transportation needs that necessitate it, car travel is an option. Parents or guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up students in designated areas. Please adhere to traffic and parking regulations around the school premises to ensure safety for all.

Walking

Walking to school is not only a great way to incorporate physical activity into your day but also promotes a sense of independence and environmental consciousness. Students who live within a reasonable walking distance are encouraged to walk to and from school when weather permits. Ensure to use designated pedestrian crossings and follow road safety guidelines.

Environmental Methods of Travel

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we strongly encourage environmentally friendly methods of travel such as using public transportation, carpooling, or walking. Taking the bus not only reduces individual carbon footprint but also promotes community engagement and social interaction.

Join our school’s efforts in minimising our impact on the environment by choosing greener transportation options whenever possible.
