Highlights:
- Royal Navy STEM Day: The Royal Navy engaged Year 7 students in a STEM Day, with more activities scheduled for next week. Stay tuned for a full report in the next Newsletter.
- Year 7 Interhouse PE Competition: Year 7 students participated in their first-ever interhouse competition, including a Dingbats challenge and a football tournament. Norris leads the interhouse standings.
- Year 7 and 8 Rugby: Both teams have been active, with Year 8 making a strong start and Year 7 boosting confidence in contact. Encouraging progress from both squads.
- Lost Property: Several items, including glasses, trainers, lunchboxes, and more, are at reception. Unclaimed items will be donated if not retrieved by next Friday.
- Library Re-Opening: The school library will reopen from Monday, 9th October, providing a quiet place for students to read during breaks and lunchtime.
- Team Warblington Focus: Featuring Miss Frost, a new Performing Arts teacher, and Tutor to 7MI.
- PE Star of the Week: Oliver C (Year 9) recognized for commitment in rugby despite a size difference.
- Computing Weekly Shout Out: Acknowledging outstanding students in computing across different year groups.
- Macmillan Coffee Morning: A successful fundraiser by the Catering team, raising £65.91 for Macmillan.
- KS4 Maths Star of the Week: Owen S (Year 10) recognized for consistent effort.
- Geography Stars of the Week: Acknowledging excellence in Geography across classes.
- Norris House Sweet Treat Sale: Supporting Crohn’s and Colitis UK, Norris House hosts a sweet treat sale on the first Tuesday of every month.
- Warblington School Clubs: Listing various clubs available for students in October 2023.
- Christmas Craft Fair Announcement: The school’s annual Christmas Craft Fair will take place on December 2nd, with students organizing a bottle tombola and seeking donations.
- Year 11 Prom Committee Appeal: Donations of bottles, raffle prizes, and cakes requested for the upcoming Christmas Craft Fair.
