GCSE Results Day – Thursday 20th August 10:00am

Year 11 students can come into school to collect their GCSE results on Thursday 20th August from 10:00am. Please see the guidance below that was sent home in a letter at the end of term.

We are hoping to be able to run a results day, although much of this will depend on any conditions set by the government.

The plan for the 20th August consists of the following and uses the guidance as we currently have it.

You will be able to come and pick up your results from 10am. We are asking you to observe social distancing guidelines, and weather permitting, results tables will be set up in front of the school. This will enable you to come in, collect your results and then leave the site in a safe manner. We are asking you not to congregate in large numbers, but we do recognise that this may be the first time that you have seen each other for some time and many of you will wish to share your results with families and friends.

On collection of results, you will need to hand sanitize before signing for your results. Where possible and appropriate, there will be an opportunity for you to leave a message for staff
who may have helped you along your journey at Warblington School. These will then beprocessed and presented to the staff on the first day back. This was introduced last year and
meant a lot to the staff who received them.

On the day, the results published will be the ones allocated by the exam board. In the event that you wish to see the results submitted to the exam boards by the school, details will
be in the results envelope as to how to obtain this information.

Contingency plans are in place in the event of inclement weather and these details will be on our website at the start of that week.

If you cannot make it into school on that day, we need you to supply us with a stamped addressed envelope in order for us to send you the results. Please note these will be posted out on the Thursday. If you are planning for someone else to collect your results on your behalf, we will need to be informed of this, in writing, in advance and that person will need to bring along proof of identity such as a driving licence or passport.
