Keystage 4 Exam Information

At Warblington School, we pride ourselves on thoroughly preparing our students for their GCSEs and other exams. Our dedicated faculty and comprehensive curriculum ensure that each student is equipped with the knowledge and skills crucial to excel. Through personalised instruction, targeted revision sessions, and a supportive learning environment, we strive to help every student achieve their academic best.

Exam Information

All students must attend in full school uniform. The school will be providing students with a pencil case this year; however, students can still provide their own equipment if they wish. This equipment must be brought in a transparent case. Any water brought into the exam must also be in a clear bottle with no labels.

Written exams will be in January for PPEs, and then will start in May for GCSEs. The Non-Examination Assessments (NEA) can begin as early as October. In some cases, these assessments will contribute up to 40%-60% of a student’s final grade.

Instructions, rules, and regulations for exams from JCQ are stated in the links below. Students must read and adhere to these instructions before any assessments or exams. These instructions are also given out to students before sitting any assessments and exams.

For written exams and some NEAs, students are not permitted to bring notes, mobile phones, wrist watches or any other electronic devices into the exam location. These are forbidden and must be left in students’ bags during the exam. If a student is found with any of these items on their person in the exam hall, it is deemed malpractice. Depending on the severity, this could affect the results of that exam and/or future exams.
